Design on facts, not guesswork.

A survey costs a fraction of a failed install. We measure coverage, line-of-sight, power and existing networks first — so every recommendation is grounded in what your site actually is.

What we survey

The measurements that de-risk a project.

RF & wireless survey

Signal strength, interference and channel planning for reliable wireless links.

Line-of-sight survey

Confirming clear paths for point-to-point links before you commit to a design.

Network audit

Review of existing switching, cabling, IP schemes and security posture.

Connectivity assessment

Which bearers are viable at your location, and the realistic performance of each.

Power & environment

Available power, mounting, grounding and environmental factors captured on site.

Actionable report

A clear write-up with findings, risks and a recommended, costed design.

Survey vs guesswork

The difference a survey makes before you build.

The same facts that de-risk connectivity also shape the right wireless design and a clean install. Here is what changes when a site is measured rather than assumed.

What you're decidingWithout a surveyWith an RCG survey
Coverage & signal strength✕ Assumed✓ Measured on site
Line-of-sight for links✕ Hoped for✓ Confirmed clear
Power, mounting & grounding✕ Found on install day✓ Known in advance
Existing network condition✕ Unknown✓ Audited
Cost certainty✕ Change orders later✓ Costed design up front
Install outcome✕ Rework risk✓ Right first time
Questions

Audits & surveys — your questions answered.

What does a site survey involve?
A survey captures the physical reality of your site: available power, mounting and grounding, environmental exposure, and any existing network or cabling. For renewable sites we also assess where equipment can sit safely around generation and high-voltage plant.
Why do I need an RF or line-of-sight survey?
Wireless and point-to-point links only perform if the path is clear and the spectrum is clean. An RF and line-of-sight survey measures signal strength, interference and clear paths before you commit, so the design is not built on assumptions that fail once the mast is up.
Do you audit existing networks, not just new sites?
Yes. Our network audit reviews existing switching, cabling, IP schemes and security posture on sites you already run. It is a sensible first step before adding CCTV, SD-WAN or a managed firewall to an ageing network.
How long does a survey take and what do I get?
A typical single-site survey takes a day on site, sometimes less. You receive a clear written report with findings, risks and photos, and a recommended, costed design you can build with confidence.
Do you cover sites anywhere in the UK?
Yes. We survey remote and renewable-energy sites across the UK, including locations that are hard to reach or off the fibre network. Tell us where the site is and we will arrange access and attend.
