Connectivity · Resilience

One link fails. Your site doesn't notice.

Every critical site should have more than one way online. We hold multiple bearers live and switch between them automatically in seconds — so SCADA, CCTV and remote access ride straight through an outage.

What's included

Resilience engineered in, not bolted on.

Automatic failover

Traffic switches to a healthy bearer within seconds of a primary link degrading.

Diverse bearers

Satellite, cellular, fibre and wireless combined so failures aren't correlated.

Same IP throughout

Combine with our static IP so inbound services survive the switch untouched.

24/7 monitoring

We see the failover happen and investigate the root cause before you ask.

Load sharing option

Where useful, bearers can share load rather than sit idle in standby.

Clear reporting

Monthly visibility of link health, failover events and availability against SLA.

Why it matters

On an unmanned site, a dropped link is a truck roll.

Wind, solar and BESS sites are often miles from the nearest engineer. When the single connection to a remote compound fails, you lose SCADA telemetry, CCTV and remote access all at once — and the only fix is someone driving out to power-cycle a router.

Multi-WAN failover removes that scenario. By holding two or more diverse bearers live — satellite, cellular, fibre or a fixed wireless link — the site rides straight through the loss of any one path. Control systems never notice, and alarms keep flowing to your operations centre.

Pair it with a static public IP and inbound services survive the switch untouched, so nothing needs reconfiguring once the primary bearer returns.

Questions

Backup & failover connectivity — your questions answered.

How does automatic failover actually work?
We hold two or more bearers live at the same time and continuously monitor each one. The moment the primary link degrades or drops, traffic switches to a healthy standby bearer automatically, usually within seconds. When the primary recovers the site can switch back or keep running on the alternative, so control systems and CCTV stay connected throughout.
Which connections can you combine for failover?
Almost any mix. We commonly combine Starlink satellite with 4G/5G cellular, but fibre, fixed wireless and other bearers can all be part of the design. The aim is diversity: bearers that use different technologies and paths so a single fault cannot take them all down at once.
Does my public IP stay the same when the site fails over?
Yes, when failover is paired with our static IP service. Because the address lives on an encrypted tunnel rather than the physical connection, the same public IP is presented to the internet whichever bearer is carrying traffic. Inbound CCTV, VPN and remote access keep working with no reconfiguration.
Can you add failover to a site that already has connectivity?
Yes. Failover can be retrofitted to most existing sites. We assess what you already have on site, add the extra bearers and a multi-WAN router needed for diversity, and configure automatic switching around your current setup. There is rarely any need to replace equipment that is working.
How will I know a failover has happened?
Every link is monitored 24/7 from our side. We see failover events as they happen, record them, and investigate the underlying cause, often before you are aware of any issue. A monthly report shows link health, failover events and availability against your agreed service level.
