Static IP for Starlink · UK data centre

A fixed public IP for Starlink that never changes.

Starlink hides you behind CGNAT and rotates your address without warning. We put a genuine UK static IPv4 on your connection — and it stays the same even when you fail over to 4G/5G.

Why Starlink alone isn't enough

Starlink puts you behind CGNAT — and changes your IP without asking.

Every Starlink connection shares public addresses through Carrier-Grade NAT, and the address you do get is dynamic. For anything that needs to be reached from the internet, that's a problem.

The RCG solution

We anchor a real UK IP to your site — over an encrypted tunnel.

A small managed router at your site builds a secure tunnel to our UK data centre. Your fixed public IPv4 lives on that tunnel, so it stays yours no matter what the underlying connection does.

01

We ship a router

A pre-configured managed router arrives ready to plug into your Starlink. No IT skills needed on site.

02

It builds a tunnel

The router opens a secure encrypted tunnel to our UK data centre over your existing connection.

03

Your IP is anchored

A genuine UK public IPv4 is assigned to your site and presented to the internet from our data centre.

04

We manage it

Monitoring, failover and support are handled by us — you just get an IP that always works.

Same IP · any connection

Starlink drops? Your IP doesn't.

Because your address lives on the tunnel, failover to 4G/5G is invisible to the outside world. Same public IP, no dropped CCTV feeds, no broken VPNs. Try it:

FAILOVER4G / 5G

The router holds both connections live at once. If Starlink degrades, traffic switches to cellular in seconds — and the tunnel simply re-forms over the new path. The public IP presented to the internet never changes.

Questions

Static IP for Starlink — the essentials.

Does Starlink give you a static IP address?
No. Starlink places every connection behind Carrier-Grade NAT (CGNAT) and hands out a dynamic public IP that can change at any time — often after a software update. That blocks the inbound connections needed for CCTV, VPNs and remote access. RCG adds a genuine static public IPv4 on top of your existing Starlink connection.
Does the static IP stay the same on 4G/5G failover?
Yes. Your address lives on the encrypted tunnel rather than the physical link, so when the router fails over from Starlink to cellular the same public IP is retained. Inbound services keep working without interruption.
Where does the IP address come from?
It's a real, RIPE-registered public IPv4 presented from a UK data centre. Because it's UK-based, traffic to and from UK destinations stays low-latency.
Will it work with my existing router or firewall?
Yes. You can take a single static IP behind our managed router, or we can present a public IP directly onto your own firewall's WAN interface — for example a Palo Alto, Fortinet or Cisco. It works with any make of equipment.
Can I have more than one IP address?
Yes. A single static public IP covers most sites, but we can also deliver multiple public IPs or a full routed block onto your own equipment — useful when you're hosting several services, separating systems, or running a larger or multi-tenant site. Just tell us how many you need when you request a quote.
Do I need to change my Starlink plan?
No. The service is independent of your Starlink account and tariff. It sits alongside your existing connection and applies to your traffic without any changes to Starlink itself.
